Who we are

The Academy of Wine & Spirits (“AWS”, “we”) is based in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. We handle personal information in line with the Cayman Islands Data Protection Act and other laws that apply to our students around the world.

What we collect

• Your name, email address, phone number and country.
• Booking details: the courses you take, your exam results, certificate numbers and shipping address for printed materials.
• Anything you choose to tell us, such as your employer for team training, dietary needs, or a request for a reasonable adjustment.
• Basic website usage information, such as pages visited and your approximate country, which we use to show prices in the right currency.

We do not see or store your payment card details. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Fygaro.

How we use it

• To enrol you, deliver your course and exam, and issue and verify your certificate.
• To send course information, reminders, receipts and replies to your questions.
• With your permission, to send news, offers and our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
• To improve our courses and website.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We share it only with the trusted services that help us run the Academy — our payment provider (Fygaro), online learning platform (Thinkific), certificate platform (Certifier), email and customer system (GoHighLevel), website host (Webflow) and shipping companies for printed materials — and with an awarding or supporting body where a course requires it. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your course and certificate records so that employers can verify your qualifications and you can request a replacement certificate. Other information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above.

Your rights

You may ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it or stop using it for marketing. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar tools to work properly and to understand how it is used. You can block cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work as well.
